Matrimony

The covenant by which a man and a woman establish a lifelong partnership.

Couples should file at the parish office at least three months before the intended wedding date so that documents, seminars and the canonical interview can be completed without rush.

Weddings are celebrated at the parish church. The parish priest will discuss the liturgy, music and rehearsal with the couple.

Requirements

Recent baptismal and confirmation certificates of both parties, annotated 'for Marriage'
PSA birth certificates of both parties
Marriage licence from the local civil registrar
Canonical interview with the parish priest
Attendance at the pre-Cana / marriage preparation seminar
Publication of banns for three consecutive weeks
